Kathleen Hofmann

As board liaison and manager to the Executive Office, Kathleen Hofmann (she/her/hers) provides wide-ranging strategic project support to advance the Dodge Foundation’s priorities.

Following positions at AT&T and Pearson Education, Kathleen pivoted to the nonprofit sector, serving first as a program associate and then as the executive director of the Myhelan Cultural Arts Center, a grassroots organization whose mission was to build community and cultural understanding through the arts. Later, she worked in fund development at the New Jersey Theatre Alliance and was the Director of Development of the Arts Council of the Morris Area and Two River Theatre Company.

Kathleen earned a BA in English from the College of St. Elizabeth and an Executive Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. She also holds certificates in Conflict Resolution and Project Management and Leadership from Cornell.

As an avid, lifelong learner, Kathleen is keenly interested in many things, among them building community and belonging, bridging across difference, and supporting public policy that leads to just and equitable outcomes. Life has taught Kathleen the value of patience, persistence, and compassion, and she still believes in the power of creative expression to help us connect with each other and our world.
