Last week, the tenants of 14 Maple Avenue proudly celebrated the grand opening of the building alongside its owner, the Morristown Parking Authority, with all of our friends, grantees, supporters, and the public.
For those of you who weren’t able to join us, we’d like to extend an invitation to come visit us and take a tour of the building. In the meantime, have a look at some pictures from the day.
As you can see, we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather, as we gathered for the start of the day-long festivities.

In the lobby, the green features of the building at a glance.
Also in the lobby, there will be a touchscreen display which shows you, in real time, what the building’s energy, solar and geothermal systems data look like and how they compare to, for example, the energy required to run your refrigerator. You will also be able to browse through the building’s green features and learn some tips on going green.
The Seeing Eye has a Puppy Cam that lets you see their puppies playing. You won’t be able to resist watching it.
Everyone was invited to the Dodge Foundation’s board room for lunch. As our staff noted, it was wonderful to see people from all different professional backgrounds make connections with one another over lunch.
Pete Maszczak (in yellow), who was the project manager for Wm. Blanchard Co., has become an honorary Dodge employee. He knows the building inside and out. Got a question? Ask Pete.

…which is blooming and thriving:
Guests enjoyed food and wine and a look at the New Jersey Green exhibit (which runs until July 15), presented by the Arts Council of the Morris Area, on the third floor of the building,
and the natural light and good company on the fourth floor.
And as if the day weren’t already a smashing success, guests were treated to an impromptu a cappella performance by the Alley Cats.
