The Nature Conservancy
The Nature Conservancy is working locally and globally to protect natural systems for nature and people, the Conservancy's mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. In New Jersey since 1955, the Conservancy has helped protect more than 55,000 acres of natural land, manages a network of nature preserves and has over 21,000 members statewide. The New Jersey Chapter's key conservation focuses include conserving critical lands, restoring the state's great rivers and watersheds, transforming management of the coasts, developing green solutions to make cities and towns more resilient and livable, and inspiring action to reduce carbon emissions.
