School of the Garden State Ballet

The School of the Garden State Ballet provides quality dance training for minority youth in the city of Newark, by assembling a highly trained, dedicated faculty that believes that their commitment to these youth makes a difference. For sixty-five years, the School of the Garden State Ballet has provided its students with an atmosphere of safety where discipline, respect and cooperation abound. In this atmosphere young people who may enter unfocused, troubled or scared find their way and their inner voice. This discovery follows and guides them outside the school's doors and throughout their lives.
