New Jersey Audubon (NJA) is a statewide membership organization with nearly 18,000 members. In carrying out its mission, NJA serves the more than 8.9 million state residents as well as millions of visitors who appreciate ecological treasures. Founded in 1897 and one of the oldest Audubon societies, NJA is independent of the National Audubon Society. Its mission is to connect people with nature and steward the nature of today for the people of tomorrow.
