Natural Lands Trust
Natural Lands Trust is a non-profit land conservation organization dedicated to protecting the forests, fields and streams that are essential to the sustainability of life in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Founded in 1953, Natural Lands Trust target the region's most significant remaining natural areas, including the Schuylkill River watershed, the Pennsylvania Highlands, the Pocono Mountains, and the Delaware Bayshore. Natural Lands Trust is committed to saving the locally important places that give communities character and connect people to the natural world. Natural Lands Trust owns and manages 43 nature preserves, totaling nearly 22,000 acres, and holds conservation easements and other restrictions exceeding 23,000 acres. The organization has also helped countless landowners, municipalities, and non-profits achieve their own conservation goals.
