George Street Playhouse

George Street Playhouse (GSP) enriches people's lives by producing world-class theatre. GSP focuses on creating high quality theatre that is intellectually and emotionally challenging, including new works, re-imagined classics and educational programs that speak with relevance to society and serves as a vital cultural institution in New Jersey and a creative force nationally. Its Artist-in-Residency programs is currently serving over 2,000 children, most with language and literacy challenges, and its repertoire of character and issue-driven educational plays for students dealing with issues ranging from cyber-bullying and intolerance to childhood obesity and environmental sustainability.
