New City Kids

New City Kids was established in 2000 to provide leadership development and performing arts opportunities to at-risk, low-income children and teens in Jersey City, New Jersey, and believes that a holistic, arts-based educational approach has the power to impact the lives and futures of marginalized children in underserved communities. By empowering teens to lead and teach children, New City Kids gives high school students the opportunity to shape both their lives and the lives of the children they teach through the performing arts. Children and teens emerge from New City Kids' programming with training in leadership and the performing arts, and are equipped with the skills needed to pursue dreams of higher education and creative expression.
